Najam Sethi, the renowned journalist and one of the key member of PCB and ICC delivered a patriotic speech but he didn’t knew what was coming. He tried to mention the most popular personality of Pakistan and the brains behind the 1992 world cup win, Imran Khan in a sarcastic and joking manner. He said that Imran Khan was supposed to be here but he is busy in fixing the wrongs of his Dharna, which I must say that it was the most popular ever Dharna in Pakistan and in the world in recent times. The crown responded with heavy boos as he tried to make a joke of the most loving personality in Pakistan. Imran Khan without a doubt is a true champion. Everything he touched has turned into gold. Now all Najam Sethi could do was to finish his speech as soon as he can.

Coming back to the ceremony which was held on January 14 2020 at Royal Palm Lahore which resulted in many memorable moments and of course the top most and show stopping moment was when the official world cup kit of Pakistan Cricket Team was unveiled. Shahid Afridi and Misbah Ul Haq stood right in front of the ramp so as Younis Khan. The rest of the team which includes Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Akmal, Haris Sohail, Sohaib Maqsood, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Junaid Khan, Yasir Shah, Ehsan Adil and Sarfaraz Ahmad were shining like the stars with their green kit blazing like the one which was donned by Pakistan in 1992. That was the most intriguing and fascinating moment for anyone who possesses a true Pakistani heart.The head coach Waqar Younis and bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed along with the team manager Moin Khan stood beside the team recalling the memories of 1992 world cup victory as the latter two being the part of that squad which was bravely captained by Imran Khan, the true fighter and dare-devil.
